Senior Software QA Engineer · Developer · exploring AI

I make software you can trust.

Six-plus years in software quality engineering, with plenty of hands-on development along the way. The obsession with edge cases and correctness that healthcare-scale software demanded now shows up in everything I do — automation frameworks, unit tests, the products I build, and increasingly, AI. Currently finishing my M.S. in Computer Science at Northeastern University.

About

A QA engineer's instincts, aimed at intelligent systems.

For six years I've cared about one thing above all: software that holds up under real conditions. As a QA engineer at Cedar Gate, I've worked across a US healthcare claim adjudication platform — designing the test automation that catches what slips through, and jumping into the Java/Angular codebase to build features when it's needed. In healthcare, a missed edge case isn't cosmetic; it's financial and clinical. Rigor wasn't a nice-to-have.

That instinct isn't only for testing — it's how I approach building software too, and it's exactly what AI development needs. Software fails quietly, on inputs no one thought to check — the failure mode I've spent my career hunting down. So as I move deeper into development and AI through my Master's at Northeastern, I'm not leaving my QA background behind. I'm bringing it: evaluation, edge cases, data quality, and a healthy suspicion that anything untested is probably broken.

Originally from the Himalayas of Nepal. When I'm not shipping or studying, I write about testing and technology — and I'm usually dialing in a pour-over.

What I work on

From test automation to intelligent systems

I've never thought of testing and building as separate jobs — good software needs both. Here's the range I care about, and where I'm headed next.

Test automation

The QA craft — automated integration, API, and end-to-end suites that run thousands of checks and catch regressions before release.

the QA craft

Unit testing

The developer's side of quality — writing focused tests for individual pieces as I build them, so bugs stay shallow and refactoring stays safe.

the dev side

Software development

Not just testing the product — building it. Full-stack work in Java, Angular, and whatever the problem calls for.

AI & machine learning

My newest rabbit hole — learning to build with ML and LLMs, and turning models into things people can actually use.

the new frontier

Making AI reliable

Where my QA instincts pay off twice: evaluating models, hunting edge cases, and keeping intelligent systems honest.

Healthcare & data

Years spent close to real US healthcare data — claims, EDI, and adjudication at scale — with a soft spot for using tech to make it safer.

Let's build something

I'm actively looking for a Fall 2026 co-op — QA, test automation, software development, or AI. If that sounds like a fit, I'd love to talk.
